How does SkillPointe work?
SkillPointe helps you create a plan for finding a skills-based career that suits you and mapping out how to get there. We’ve broken the process into four key steps — take the quiz, explore careers, find training and get financial help.
How do I find a good-paying, in-demand career?
Two ways: You can take the quiz to find a good match or explore our career pages. Each career page includes everything you need to know, including what the job is, the average salary, job openings, what training and education are required, FAQs about each career, and — in many cases — an interview with someone who does the job.
How do I pay for the training I need?
Part of our mission at SkillPointe is to help people find good jobs through affordable training options that don't add up to a lot of debt. We list hundreds of national sources for trade school scholarships, plus grants and helpful tips. We are currently creating scholarship lists for each state, like this one for California scholarships and grants.
Can I get paid while I’m learning?
Yes! Look for the bright green stripe across the top of specific training listings. For example, if you look at diesel mechanic training, you’ll see several Earn + Learn listings near the top.
