Weapons Transformation
Converting illicit weapons into Peace Angels.
The Peace Angels Project (“the Project”) takes a bold yet simple approach to saving lives by reducing the number of excess weapons in the United States of America.Since 1992, the Project has lawfully received tens of thousands of decommissioned contemporary armaments through various law enforcement agencies.
The collected weapons metals are repurposed by the Peace Angels Project into sculptures and sixty-four-foot-tall monuments to stand as life affirming, powerful symbols of peace.

The Peace Angels Project’s USA Weapons Destruction Campaign (“USAWDC”) is an American grassroots movement designed to ignite a profound cultural change by providing an honorable means for members of the public to dispose of their surplus firearms.
Between 1994 & 1995, Lin Evola, founder and artist of the Peace Angels Project, created her original bronze Renaissance Peace Angel sculpture, which bears a plaque made of street weapons. In 1997, Evola loaned the sculpture to Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica, California.
As an American contemporary artist, Lin Evola has created a sustainable approach to weapons reduction by removing illicit weapons and transforming them into inspirational Peace Angels.
